Who I Am and Why I Started the ArtFun Community
Jan 30, 2025Hello, creative souls! I’m Jenny Cook—an artist, educator, author, and curious creative who loves exploring, adventuring, and helping others find their artistic confidence. But above all, I’m passionate about bringing people together through the joy of art.
From Paintbrushes to Programs & Back Again
Over 20 years ago, I started teaching painting workshops, and from the very first class, I knew I had found something special. It wasn’t just about the paint on the canvas—it was about the connections, the joy, and the creative confidence that grew in each student. We built a beautiful community of happy, exploring artists, and I loved every moment of it.
As life evolved, so did my career. I moved deeper into adult education, teaching business and management for accredited audiences. Program design became a creative outlet for me, allowing me to craft learning experiences that helped people achieve their goals. I still love designing programs, but something kept calling me back to my first passion—art.
A Love for Painting & Community
While I’ve explored many forms of art and craft, my heart has always belonged to painting—especially on canvas. I specialize in realism, though I’m currently on a journey to loosen up and embrace my own unique style. The more I painted, held workshops and sip n paint sessions, the more I realized that I wanted to share this joy with others again. My past students have been asking for years for more ways to learn, connect, and create with me. So, I finally listened…
Welcome to the Jenny Cook ArtFun Community! π
This is a space where creativity, fun, and connection come together. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned artist, this community is here to support, inspire, and bring more joy to your art journey. I’ve taught everything from painting workshops to corporate team-building events, sip ‘n’ paint nights, and online courses. Now, I’m bringing all of that experience into one exciting place!
Giving Back Through Art
One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been using art to support The Hunger Project. Over the past two years, I’ve been able to raise and donate over $19,000 to this incredible cause. As this community grows, I can’t wait to continue using art as a way to make a difference in the world.
